No good for you Vloggers as the Mike is on the outside. So wind noise is a problem. If you are looking for something to act as a helmet cam to protect you from idiots on the road then it’s perfect.

If you require phone communication or are using it to make videos with vocal audio then this product IS NOT FOR YOU. The video is great quality once you decode the user manual and work out how to use it. And the Bluetooth connection for listening to music is good. But all recordings while on the move are accompanied with deafening wind noise. The external built-in microphone doesn't disconnect ever. When trying to make a call the person your talking to will hear nothing but wind noise. Same as if your doing a video blog. Your vocal will not be heard over the wind noise. Overall a disappointment for the cost.

Ok let’s tell the brutal truth about this item Freedconn Bluetooth’s have always been good and now they have combined it with a video camera what’s not to like ? Well first of all you can’t talk while you riding along unless your stationary. If you want to make a nice video of nice rides in the out in the country and say look at that kestrel or idiot driver you can’t as the external mic just picks up wind noise. So you have two good items that can’t be used together. Even if you just bought it for the camera the wind noise is deafening on play back. And it kills your phone battery and if you have the phone plugged into a charger while riding along it gets so hot. I would say don’t waste your money buy a Bluetooth and a separate video camera with a mic like a drift or GoPro. I bought two so me a friend could chat and talk while riding just wasted nearly £300 I’m going to try and get a refund and not fit for purpose.

I bought for bluetooth 5.0 but it came 4.0. I have checked one it has price different 4.0 is cheaper them 5.0. I have used for over 5 months, so far good. Battery percentage is not accurate, if it says 80% battery it means 80% battery has been used. Overall good quality worth buying but be careful i have received old version.

I just learned that there is no way to make the device record video with the wired microphone that you attach on the inside of the helmet! It will, instead, continue to use a very small microphone located on the bottom of the device located between the headset/microphone connection and the TF card slot. Nothing but horrific wind noise gets recorded when in motion! What a ridiculous setup! I would try and return the item but I got it on finance so I am stuck with it! The best I can do is to either stick blutac into the external microphone hole to reduce the noise or hope they release a firmware update that automatically switches to the helmet microphones when they're connected. Absolutely fuming, especially when the maker boasts about "noise cancellation"... Which is a shame, as the rest of the item is excellent. The camera is very good for its size and even records decent night time footage.

Instructions not clear on which app to use. Roadcam for the video side for my Samsung. Had to pair the headset via WiFi to download the videos but records once you press the top on/off button (solid green light) automatically. Ensure you are connected to Bluetooth then the music etc works. Not made a call but at this stage I'm just glad it works! Only took me an hour to work it out? I used the connector supplied as apposed to the sticker to attach to the helmet but the connection for the earphones does get in the way of my slide button on the helmet for the sun visor. Sound quality is quite reasonable.

This little headset camera combo is pretty nice for the price. Me personally, i love it. Have a camera that can shoot super hd footage with super clear imagines. i can clearly see my speedo rise to the speed of the "speed limit" and see what my rpm is at. Because you know when going the "speed limit" you dont really focus on rpm and maybe glance at the speedometer. Easy to set up. The speakers are great for music which really surprised me. If you dont have a very noisy helmet it would work very well. Mine is a bit heavy on the wind noise but when going the "speed limit" you dont really hear it. If you are relaxing on the freeway and not doing the "speed limit" you can clearly hear it. For me its little low because of the wind noise through the helmet. Back streets or not highways they work very well. The video. its so good. People complain about seeing part of the helmet but so what? i don't need a com set up and a gopro on my helmet making it feel like a heavy mess with stupid wires getting in the way. Looking like some guy out of Starship Troopers. Plus gopros vibrate and can act funny with video and stabilization. This does not. SO NICE! only downside is the video recording and mic for calls/music is two separate system units for example. The video recorder part has an external mic and the talking/listen system of the unit has its own seprate mic. SO FOR VLOGGING IS A BUMMER RIGHT?!?!?! All you get is massive WIND NOISE even going the "speed limit". So no go for bloggers? I mean vloggers. EHHHHHHHH. Theres a work around. Its an extra step for sure but it isn't a hassle. I use a voice recording app on my phone. FOR REALZ I DO! Its actually pretty simple. Download a voice recording app. I use parrot but can be any. Connect the bluetooth and WABAM! The phone will record any noise or voice going through the headset. YES YOUR MIC YOU DUMDUM! but seriously this is great for vloggers (i didn't speak on mine i did a quick test but theoretically its the same) The wind noise dropped out massively. So instead of getting your eardrums banged away like in a super p0rn00 0rgy. You can hear other noises LIKE YOU MATARBIKERS. You can hear your bike and whatever else. you still get wind noise but isn't nearly as bad. so since its picking up noise from the mic im pretty sure you can talk (my phone was in my tiny storage space under the im single seat or the im taking plastic cover so i know its picking it from the mic because wind noise is still there im acutally going to not connect the bluetooth and just keep the phone recording under the seat see what it sounds like maybe even less wind noise? who knows im excited to find out) so it will pick up i hope. ill try it. if it works i wont edit it this review. Now you simply load the phone recording and video recording into your chosen f****ing platform mute the video noise and line up recorder noise from phone to match the video. You can simply line up both recordings but revving the engine in the beginning. So you watch for revs in video. listen and find the revs on audio recording and match that s*** up. pretty easy. once you do its smooth sailing. Just remember to cut audio and video together when editing. so you cut a min out of video you cut a min out of audio recording. EASY PEEZY! Love this unit. If you read this all hopefully i explained everything in decent detail. i suggest you buy it try and if you dont like it return it. Oh battery is alright. maybe records 2 hours. i dont know its a guess. maybe up to 2 and half depending on if you got music going and video at the same time. can also just set a usb wire to your battery so charge it on the go? i charge mine around the 2 hour mark. it will also say how much life is on it. GIVE IT A TRY! Also going back and looking on the video is pretty easy. Open the app turn on wifi on the com select freecom and you get to see the recording.

I didn't want to write this review until I used it for a while and got to see how it functions, so here it is, a review after 7 month of use. This intercom is surprisingly good for the price. I bought two of these for Christmas, after my husband had an accident and we realized that it would be very helpful to know what actually happened, as he was knocked down from the bike and lost the memory of the event. Thankfully there were witnesses, but after this event I decided to run the camera at all times. The good thing about this camera, it works for hours without need of charging and also, it can be plugged to the external power bank or a usb port on a bike. I ride to work daily, so I don't use the intercom much, but I use the music player and the sound is good. It's not as good as the sound on sena 10C which I tried as well, but the camera is comparable and it cost a lot less. I can buy two of these for the price of one sena. I have a GoPro which I stopped using because FreedConn is just all-in-one. It goes on the helmet and I don't have to worry about forgetting my expensive camera on the bike (which I've done with the gopro a couple times and was lucky that I still have it). I also don't like making my helmet heavier with bulky cameras, in addition to the intercom, so this works perfectly for me. Since I got freedconn, I only use gopro when we go someplace pretty and I want a very good quality footage. The freedconn videos are not as clear and bright, but the camera actually works and the battery doesn't die from heat which is very excessive in the central CA. It seems to be pretty dependable. It pairs with iPhone with one click. The camera operation is separate from the music player which I find helpful since it uses less power that way. I can run one or the other if I forget to charge it and don't have the power bank with me. We just took an whole day trip and between mine and husband's intercoms, we have a 6 hour long footage on one battery charge. That's including listening to music for most of the trip. I had to charge mine of the power bank a little, but he didn't charge his at all. Not bad. I would recommend. The company also has the new version - R3. I'll be getting the upgrade soon. The two screen shots are from the videos. I have one complain that really doesn't affect the use of the device much. The camera software creates a lot of extra folders on my phone and I can't figure out how to get ride of them all at once, so I stopped using that app. Hope they can fix this issue. One more good thing about it... The seller is responsive. I had to contact them once with some questions and they were helpful.

Updated April 2024: When the camera works, it works very well, just hope nothing goes wrong. After 9-10 months, one side of the headset speakers stopped working and now requires wiggling the connection to get both sides working. Works ok for calls/music and camera is really good. An issue I ran into after losing my phone and having to replace it, I couldn't reset the Wi-Fi password without the old password (which was saved in the old phone.) There is no way to reset the Wi-Fi password without it. Tech Support didn't answer for weeks and community forums were no help. Sent multiple emails and attempted to call but no answer and no response. Comes with a warranty but there was no way to contact anyone about it. Support finally responded after 6 weeks and through an email exchange, I was finally sent a firmware restore file with instructions. This resolved the WiFi issue. Thank you support!! So support contact is complicated because of the time difference between the US and Asia but ultimately, worth it. If I could get the loose connection issue resolved, I would give this five stars.

Love this camera from Freedconn after using it for almost a month since completing my MSF course (Oct 30) and riding with it daily on my Nolan N80 helmet. I have yet to find a similar all-in-one product in the market with a dash camera, music player, and motorcycle communicator. Speaker quality when playing back music is decent with Spotify. It’s not gonna “Wow” you, but it’s good enough for riding (you wouldn’t be focusing on sound quality anyway while riding). Taking calls with the microphone is also good albeit a little too harsh at times with regards to picking up car noises and my breathing with wind noise at times. The video quality with the provided MicroSD card is good as well for incident recording. There are a few bad things though with this camera. The first obvious one is the adhesive used to mount the camera. It has very little stick to the helmet, especially in cold climates. Trying to turn on the camera or skip a track can possibly lead to the camera falling off and breaking it or losing it. This also leads me to my second complaint which is the integration of the system. You have to press and hold 3 buttons separately to turn on the dash camera, WiFi, and Bluetooth. Trying to pair with another communicator makes this horrible process even worse. Finally, my last complaint is with regards to the volume/skip track part of the camera. It feels extremely flimsy and is also very sensitive. Moving my chin down and brushing it on my shoulder unintentionally while riding is enough to suddenly trigger a track skip or change the volume. Other than that, it is a good all in one product for riding, but by no means perfect. Hopefully the company addresses these issues with a revision. Update: I tried the camera again after contacting Freedconn thinking my original unit was defective perhaps and their support was excellent! I was RMA'd a new unit and this one has noticeably less sensitive and loose buttons (it still feels flimsy, but not as much as my old unit). I am adding an additional star just for that. I'd still like for the adhesive mount to be stickier along with making it easier to have a single button to turn on the unit, but otherwise, this product is great!

The app that runs this product and you go to review a video the app shuts down and gives a warning that the app has a bug and to get an update to the app. When I go to the Play store there is no update for this app and apparently everybody's having the same problem I'm having and the app only has a 1.4 star review. And it looks to me like that now the time that this product has been out they have done nothing to resolve this problem. It installs well looks nice on my helmet have some trouble getting the Wi-Fi to connect setup wasn't too bad but the app just takes it all away. Time to go back to my GoPro.
